Dannible & McKee, LLP Hosts 9th Annual Not-For-Profit Seminar
SYRACUSE, N.Y., January 16, 2010 – Dannible & McKee, LLP, Certified Public Accountants and Consultants, held its Annual Not-For-Profit Conference on January, 12, 2010. The conference was free-of-charge and located at Syracuse, New York’s Double-Tree Hotel and Events Center.
Peggy J. Rowe, partner with Dannible & McKee, LLP, opened the event by welcoming over 90 attendees from across the State. “This is our 9th year holding the Not-For-Profit event and our attendance has increased year over year,” stated Rowe. This year’s conference featured presentations by Dannible & McKee audit partners, Thomas V. Fiscoe and Christopher Didio and tax partner, Karl Jacob. Fiscoe gave an update on the 2009 Financial Reporting and Corporate Governance issues, Didio discussed twenty ways to detect fraud and Jacob presented an update on the 2009 federal and state tax changes as it relates to Not-For-Profit organizations.
Guest speaker for the event was Phillip Zaccheo, corporate attorney for Bond, Schoeneck & King, PLLC. Zaccheo spoke about best practices and fiduciary responsibility in managing endowment assets.
