Christine Petrone Earns Her Certified Public Bookkeeper (CPB) License

Dannible & McKee, LLP, a certified public accounting and consulting firm with offices in Syracuse, Auburn, Binghamton and Schenectady, N.Y., is pleased to announce that Christine Petrone has successfully passed the CPB exam and completed the requirements to earn a license as a Certified Public Bookkeeper.

Christine, an accounting and advisory services supervisor, joined Dannible & McKee in 2016 and is responsible for overseeing the accounting services staff and managing a wide range of client accounts. Her areas of focus include maintaining the general ledger, preparing budgets and accrual basis financial statements in accordance with GAAP, and maintaining accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures. She specializes in not-for-profit organizations and municipalities.

As a CPB, Christine assures clients of her mastery of bookkeeping knowledge, skill, experience and ethics. The license is considered a key credential in the industry. It is nationally recognized and is presented by the National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers (NACPB). To earn the CPB license, candidates must meet the academic experience requirements, pass a series of tests and meet the academic standard in bookkeeping, accounting, payroll and QuickBooks. Petrone is also a QuickBooks ProAdvisor.

Christine graduated from Cazenovia College in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in professional studies in business management and holds a certificate in management and supervision. She is the treasurer for the Central New York Accounting and Financial Women’s Alliance and volunteers for the Red Cross each year at the New York State Fair. Petrone resides in Cazenovia, N.Y., and is based out of the Syracuse office.
