Dannible & McKee, LLP Hires Four New Accountants
Dannible & McKee, LLP, a certified public accounting and consulting firm with offices in Syracuse, Albany and Binghamton, New York, is pleased to announce the hiring of four professional staff members.
Dominick Battaglia, Jr. has joined the firm as an audit staff accountant after working as an audit intern since 2019. He is responsible for maintaining financial procedures and confirming financial compliance through preparation of company reports and statements. Battaglia graduated with bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2020 and a Master of Business Administration in 2021, both from Le Moyne College. He resides in Liverpool, New York.
Nicholas Coleman also joins the firm as an audit staff accountant after working as an intern in the audit department for three years. He previously served as an accounting intern for Rapid Response Monitoring Services from 2016-2017. Coleman graduated cum laude from Le Moyne College with a Bachelor of Science in accounting and Master of Science in information systems in 2020. He is responsible for performing audit, review and compilation procedures, proofing of client financial statements and reports in preparation for issuance, and assisting with various fraud engagements. Coleman is a member of the AICPA and serves as vice president of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) student chapter at Le Moyne College. He has also served as a volunteer for Meals on Wheels. Coleman resides in Syracuse, New York.
Zachary O’Neill has joined the firm as an audit staff accountant. Prior to joining the firm, he interned with a local certified accounting firm where he worked under seniors in the audit department. O’Neill graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a Bachelor of Science in accounting in 2021. In his current role, he will assist engagement teams on audits, compulations and reviews in the financial statement area. O’Neill is a volunteer at St. Margaret’s Church in Mattydale and resides in North Syracuse, New York.
Valerie R. Spiwak has joined the firm as an accounting services staff. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as the bookkeeper and payroll/401k administrator for NY Homeowners Construction Co. Spiwak graduated from the Stratford Career Institute with an Associate of Science degree in business management in 2004 and is completing her Bachelor of Science in business management from the State University of New York (SUNY) Empire State. In her role, she will be processing sales tax for small companies, bookkeeping and providing other support to the accounting department.
Spiwak is an active member in the community. She serves as a member of leadership for SUNY Empire State and volunteers at the If We Eat, They Eat program with We Rise Above the Streets Recovery OutReach Inc. and at the Autism Speaks’ Annual Easter Egg Hunt. She also held the position of treasurer for the Day of Joy, Inc. Spiwak resides in East Syracuse, New York.
