Ken Gardiner and Ben Sumner Appointed to Leadership Roles with the Associated Builders and Contractors Empire State Chapter

Kenneth C. Gardiner, CPA, CCIFP, an audit consulting partner at the firm, has been appointed Chairman of the Board, while Benjamin A. Sumner, CPA, an audit partner, has been named Treasurer of the Board of Directors.

Gardiner’s appointment as Chairman of the Board reflects his decades-long dedication to ABC and the construction industry. With over 43 years of experience in audit and accounting services, Gardiner is widely recognized as a leader in the construction sector. As the first professional in Upstate New York to earn the prestigious Certified Construction Industry Financial Professional (CCIFP) designation, he has set a benchmark for excellence in construction finance. Gardiner has been a cornerstone of the ABC Empire State Chapter, serving as its Treasurer for 35 years and recently being inducted into the ABC Hall of Fame in 2024.

Sumner, who succeeds Gardiner as Treasurer, continues the legacy of strong leadership from Dannible & McKee within the ABC Empire State Chapter. Since joining the firm in 2010, Sumner has excelled in delivering high-quality audit, accounting, and consulting services. He has cultivated specialized expertise in the construction industry and in auditing employee benefit plans.
