Walking for Hope: Dannible & McKee, LLP Team Rallies for the Fight Against Breast Cancer
Dannible & McKee, LLP, a leading certified public accounting and consulting firm, is proud to continue its commitment to community support by bringing over 50 employees and family members to support the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 19th. This year’s event activities, presented by Upstate Cancer Center, will kick off at 9:00 a.m. in Clinton Square, Syracuse with the walk starting at 11:00 a.m.
This marks the firm’s fourth consecutive year as a walk sponsor and seventh year supporting the American Cancer Society. The firm’s involvement began in 2019 when partners Deborah Finch, CPA/ABV, CVA, and Charla Roth, CPA, recognized the profound impact breast cancer had on several employees and their family members. Since then, the firm has been dedicated to raising awareness and showing support for the cause.
“At every event, our ‘We Walk For’ sign serves as a reminder of why we come together,” said Finch. “It gives our team the opportunity to honor employees, family members and friends whose lives have been touched by breast cancer. Each name represents a story and we’re proud to walk in their honor and stand beside them in support.”
This year, the Dannible & McKee team will once again create a vibrant pre-walk experience with a photo station, including the iconic big inflatable Making Strides pink chair, and snacks. Attendees will be invited to walk the “pink carpet” and take selfies with a customizable “We Walk to Honor” board, where they can write in the names of their loved ones.
The American Cancer Society estimates that approximately 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women this year, emphasizing the continued importance of initiatives like Making Strides.
Event registration begins at 8:30 a.m. For more information or to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, visit their event site at www.makingstrideswalk.org/Syracuse.
