Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk, More Than Just a Walk for Dannible & McKee, LLP Employees

10.15.24

Dannible & McKee, LLP, a leading certified public accounting and consulting firm, is proud to continue its commitment to community support by bringing over 50 employees and family members to support the annual Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk on Sunday, October 20th. This year’s event, presented by Upstate Cancer Center, will kick off at 10:00 a.m. in Clinton Square, Syracuse.

This marks the firm’s third consecutive year as a walk sponsor and sixth year supporting the American Cancer Society. The firm’s involvement began in 2019 when partners Deborah Finch and Charla Roth recognized the profound impact breast cancer had on several employees and their family members. Since then, the firm has been dedicated to raising awareness and showing support for the cause.

“At each event, we feature a ‘We Walk For’ sign to honor our employees, their family members and friends,” said Deborah Finch, CPA/ABV, CVA. “This initiative allows our participants to submit names of loved ones, ensuring we recognize and support those impacted by breast cancer in our community. We are committed to standing by them during this journey.”

This year, the Dannible & McKee team will once again create a vibrant pre-walk experience with a photo station and snacks. Attendees will be invited to walk the “pink carpet” and take selfies with a customizable “We Walk to Honor” board, where they can write in the names of their loved ones.

The American Cancer Society estimates that approximately 310,720 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women this year, emphasizing the continued importance of initiatives like Making Strides.

Event registration begins at 8:30 a.m. For more information or to support Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, visit their event site at www.makingstrideswalk.org/Syracuse.
